Dr. Tim FriesTimothy D. Fries, O.D.

Dr. Fries completed his undergraduate studies at The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Evolution, Ecology and Organismal Biology.  He received his Doctor of Optometry in 2004 from The Ohio State University College of Optometry where he graduated cum laude and was inducted into two international optometric honor societies.  Dr. Fries completed many external rotations focused on ocular disease and primary eye care.  He also has extensive experience in geriatric and nursing home eye care and has spent time as a Clinical Instructor at The Ohio State University College of Optometry with a focus on fitting contact lenses.

Dr. Fries was appointed by Governor Ted Strickland to the State of Ohio Optical Dispensers Board in 2007, where he serves as the only optometrist.  His term will expire in 2017.  He also serves on the Epsilon Psi Epsilon Optometric Fraternity Alumni Board and is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Ohio Optometric Association.

In his free time Dr. Fries enjoys traveling, watching Ohio State Athletics and the Cincinnati Reds, playing golf and listening to music.  His favorite place to travel is Ireland and his favorite band is U2.  He and his wife, Cheryl also enjoy spending time with their dog, Paddington.

General Manager

Missi has been an optical professional for over 20 years with experience with all facets of an optometric office. She is the go-to person in the dispensary with any questions about frames, lenses or lens treatments. We are proud of her skills in organization and office efficiency. She works hard to make sure your prescription is done promptly and accurately.
 

 

Lisa Morgan

Lab Manager

Lisa is a life-long resident of Fayette County.  She has been a member of the Optique Family Vision Care family for nearly 26 years.  Lisa runs our lab and is in charge of making the lenses for your glasses.  She is an animal lover.
 

 

Renée Porter

Optical Assistant

A native of North Carolina Renée Porter joined the Optique family in August, 2009. After completing a 2-year program at Southern State Community College, eye care was her first choice in the medical field. She enjoys meeting and interacting with our patients. Renée now resides in Greenfield with her beloved husband of 25 years, Butch. She and Butch are both Geminis and share a love of camping with family and friends, blues music, dancing, going for rides on their trike and dune buggy, crafts, and home improvements. Their 1920′s era home is also a playground for their fat cat Sable and boisterous dog Jack.

Kendra Herald

Apprentice Optician

Kendra (Trent) Herald joined Optique Family Vision Care in 2007 and very quickly became adept at using her organizational skills to work in all areas of the office.  She is our “go-to girl” with any questions.  Kendra is working on earning her optical dispenser’s license and is a happily married mother of a young son.
